MONILENS PRIVACY POLICY

Last Updated: August 2026

Effective Date: August 2026

1. INTRODUCTION

Welcome to MoniLens ("MoniLens", "we", "our", or "us").

MoniLens is a personal and business financial management application designed to help users record, organise, understand and manage their financial information.

Depending on the features you choose to use, MoniLens may process relevant financial transaction alerts received by SMS, authorised financial emails, uploaded bank statements and other financial records that you voluntarily provide.

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal and financial information.

This Privacy Policy explains:

What information MoniLens accesses and collects;

Why we collect and use that information;

How we store and protect it;

When information may be shared;

How long we retain information;

Your rights and choices; and

How you can request deletion of your account and data.

By using MoniLens, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use MoniLens.

2. WHO WE ARE

MoniLens is operated by:

Legal Entity: AVEGIO TECH LIMITED

Product Name: MoniLens

Privacy Contact: support@mymonilens.com

Website: https://mymonilens.com

The legal entity identified above is responsible for determining how your personal information is processed in connection with MoniLens, subject to applicable data protection laws.

3. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

The information we collect depends on the MoniLens features you choose to use.

We aim to collect only information reasonably necessary to provide, secure and improve the services you request.

3.1 Account Information

When you create a MoniLens account, we may collect:

Name;

Email address;

Phone number, where provided;

Account ID;

Authentication information;

Subscription information;

Account preferences; and

Other information necessary to maintain and secure your account.

Where biometric sign-in is available, biometric authentication is handled by your device's operating system or secure hardware. MoniLens does not intentionally collect or store your fingerprint, face scan or other raw biometric information.

4. SMS AND FINANCIAL TRANSACTION DATA

4.1 Why MoniLens Requests SMS Access

SMS access is an important part of MoniLens' automatic transaction-tracking functionality.

With your permission, MoniLens may access relevant SMS messages to identify financial transaction alerts and automatically record those transactions in your MoniLens account.

This functionality is intended to help you:

Automatically record transactions;

Track income and expenses;

Categorise transactions;

View transaction history;

Understand spending patterns; and

Generate financial summaries and insights.

SMS access is used solely to provide MoniLens' financial-management functionality.

Google Play treats SMS and financial information as personal and sensitive user data and requires access to be limited to permitted, core functionality. MoniLens therefore does not use SMS access for unrelated purposes.

4.2 What SMS Information We Process

Where you grant SMS permission, MoniLens may process information contained in relevant financial transaction alerts, including:

Transaction amount;

Transaction date and time;

Transaction description or narration;

Merchant or counterparty information;

Financial institution information;

Transaction type;

Account information contained in the alert; and

Other information reasonably necessary to identify and record the transaction.

The information processed may vary depending on the format and contents of the financial institution's SMS alerts.

4.3 What MoniLens Does Not Use SMS Data For

MoniLens does not use SMS access to:

Read or monitor personal conversations for unrelated purposes;

Build a database of personal conversations;

Sell SMS data;

Sell financial transaction data;

Serve advertising based on SMS content;

Provide targeted advertising based on SMS content;

Perform unrelated behavioural profiling;

Share personal SMS history with advertisers; or

Obtain banking passwords, PINs or authentication credentials.

Google Play's SMS policy specifically prohibits using SMS data obtained through the permission for unrelated purposes and prohibits exfiltration or sharing of non-financial or personal SMS history by budgeting applications.

4.4 Personal and Non-Financial SMS

MoniLens is designed to identify and process relevant financial transaction alerts rather than personal conversations.

Our transaction-processing system is intended to extract only information necessary for the financial-management functionality.

We do not intentionally use unrelated personal SMS messages as part of MoniLens' financial-management services.

Where technical processing temporarily accesses message content in order to determine whether a message is a relevant financial alert, that processing is limited to the purpose of identifying relevant transaction information.

We do not use unrelated personal SMS content for advertising, profiling or any other unrelated purpose.

4.5 SMS Permission Is Optional

You are not required to grant SMS access simply to use MoniLens.

However, if you do not grant SMS permission, features that depend on automatic SMS transaction tracking will not function.

You may revoke SMS permission at any time through your Android device settings, subject to the functionality of the Android operating system.

5. IMPORTANT SMS DISCLOSURE

Before MoniLens requests SMS permission, the App will provide a clear disclosure explaining why the permission is required and how it will be used.

The disclosure will be presented before the Android permission request and will require an affirmative user action.

The disclosure will explain that:

MoniLens uses SMS access to identify relevant financial transaction alerts and automatically record and categorise your transactions. SMS access is used for MoniLens' automated financial-management features and not for advertising or unrelated purposes. You can continue using MoniLens without granting SMS access, but automatic SMS transaction tracking will not work.

The user may then choose whether to grant the permission.

Google requires prominent disclosure and affirmative consent where access to personal or sensitive information may not be reasonably expected by the user. The disclosure does not replace this Privacy Policy or the Google Play Data Safety disclosures.

6. EMAIL AND FINANCIAL EMAIL INTEGRATIONS

Where MoniLens provides an email integration and you choose to enable it, MoniLens may process relevant financial transaction emails to provide transaction-tracking functionality.

Depending on the integration, this may include:

Sender information;

Transaction amount;

Transaction date and time;

Merchant or counterparty information;

Transaction description;

Financial institution information; and

Other information contained in relevant financial transaction alerts.

MoniLens will use the email access only for the authorised financial-management functionality.

We do not intentionally use unrelated personal emails for advertising or unrelated profiling.

You may disconnect an authorised email integration at any time.

The exact information accessed will depend on the email provider, permissions and integration available when the feature is used.

7. UPLOADED STATEMENTS AND FINANCIAL DOCUMENTS

MoniLens may allow you to upload financial information, including:

PDF bank statements;

Excel files;

CSV files;

Receipts;

Invoices;

Financial records; and

Other documents that you voluntarily provide.

We process these documents to provide features such as transaction extraction, record keeping, categorisation, financial summaries and other functionality you request.

You should not upload information belonging to another person or organisation unless you have the legal right or appropriate authority to do so.

8. INFORMATION YOU ENTER YOURSELF

You may voluntarily provide information such as:

Income;

Expenses;

Budgets;

Savings goals;

Business transactions;

Transaction categories;

Notes;

Customer or supplier information;

Invoice information;

Financial records; and

Other information you choose to store in MoniLens.

Operating system and version;

MoniLens application version;

Device configuration information;

IP address;

Network information;

Error and crash information;

Security logs; and

Basic application usage information.

We use this information primarily for security, troubleshooting, reliability and application improvement.

We do not intentionally use persistent device identifiers to create advertising profiles.

10. PAYMENT AND SUBSCRIPTION INFORMATION

If you subscribe to a paid MoniLens plan, payments may be processed through third-party payment providers.

Where a payment provider processes your card or payment credentials, MoniLens does not intentionally store your complete card credentials unless specifically disclosed to you.

Payment providers may process payment information according to their own privacy policies and terms.

11. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

12. NO ADVERTISING USE OF FINANCIAL OR SMS DATA

MoniLens does not sell personal or financial information.

We do not use SMS data or financial transaction data obtained through MoniLens to:

Sell advertising;

Build advertising profiles;

Serve personalised advertisements based on your financial transactions;

Sell financial profiles to third parties; or

Conduct unrelated behavioural profiling.

Personal and sensitive user data obtained through the App is limited to purposes reasonably necessary for the App's functionality and other purposes permitted by Google Play policy and applicable law.

13. LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING

Depending on the processing activity and applicable law, MoniLens may process personal information on the basis of:

Your consent;

The performance of a service you have requested;

Compliance with a legal obligation;

Legitimate interests where permitted by law;

Protection of vital interests where applicable; or

Another lawful basis recognised under applicable data protection law.

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent.

Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing that was lawfully carried out before the withdrawal.

14. FINANCIAL INFORMATION

MoniLens may process financial information such as:

Income;

Expenses;

Transaction history;

Account information;

Purchase history;

Debts or obligations entered into the App;

Business financial records;

Bank statement information; and

Other financial information you provide or authorise us to access.

We treat financial information as confidential and apply appropriate safeguards to protect it.

However, no electronic system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

These may include providers for:

Database hosting;

Cloud infrastructure;

Other technical services.

For example, MoniLens may use Supabase for authentication and cloud database services.

Third-party providers may process personal information on our behalf only to the extent reasonably necessary to provide their services, subject to applicable contractual and legal requirements.

The actual third-party services used by MoniLens may change as the App develops. Our Privacy Policy and Google Play Data Safety disclosures will be updated where required to reflect material changes.

17. WHEN WE MAY SHARE YOUR INFORMATION

We do not sell your personal or financial information.

We may share or provide access to information in the following circumstances:

17.1 Service Providers

With third-party providers that help us operate MoniLens, where access is reasonably necessary for their services.

We do not share financial or SMS information with third parties for advertising or unrelated purposes.

18. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Some service providers used by MoniLens may process information outside Nigeria.

Where personal information is transferred internationally, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that the transfer is handled in accordance with applicable data protection requirements.

Appropriate contractual, technical or other safeguards may be used where required.

19. DATA SECURITY

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal and financial information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.

These measures may include:

Encryption during transmission;

Secure authentication;

Access controls;

Secure storage;

Permission controls;

Security monitoring;

Application security measures;

Regular software updates; and

Restricted access to personal information.

Data transmitted between the App and our servers will use appropriate secure communication protocols such as HTTPS/TLS where applicable.

Google Play requires developers handling personal and sensitive information to handle that information securely, including using modern cryptography for data in transit.

Despite these measures, no digital system or method of transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MoniLens is not responsible for security incidents caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including compromised devices, compromised user credentials, telecommunications failures, malicious attacks or failures of third-party infrastructure.

If you create a MoniLens account, you can request deletion of your account and associated personal information.

In the App

You may request deletion through:

Settings → Delete Account

Through Our Website

We will also provide an external account-deletion webpage at:

The external deletion process will allow users to submit a request without having to reinstall or access the App.

Upon a valid account-deletion request, we will delete the account and associated personal information within a reasonable period, subject to information that we are legally required or permitted to retain.

Information may be retained where necessary for:

Compliance with legal obligations;

Fraud prevention;

Security purposes;

Dispute resolution;

Enforcement of legal rights; or

Other lawful purposes.

Google Play requires apps that allow account creation to provide both an in-app deletion pathway and an external web-based deletion mechanism.

22. REVOCATION OF PERMISSIONS

You can revoke permissions granted to MoniLens through your Android device settings.

For example, you may revoke:

SMS permission;

Notification permission; or

Other device permissions granted to MoniLens.

Revoking a permission may prevent the corresponding MoniLens feature from functioning.

Revoking a device permission does not automatically delete information that was previously stored in your MoniLens account. To request account and data deletion, use the deletion process described above.

23. AUTOMATED TRANSACTION CATEGORISATION AND INSIGHTS

MoniLens may use automated rules, algorithms and other technologies to:

Identify financial transactions;

Categorise transactions;

MoniLens does not need those credentials to provide its core transaction-management functionality.

26. CHILDREN

MoniLens is intended for users who are legally permitted to use the service under applicable law.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in circumstances where such collection is prohibited by applicable law.

Bank or financial institution systems;

Mobile network providers;

Third-party service providers;

Maintenance;

Security incidents;

Technical failures; or

Other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
